What do you think?

woah, there's a lot of work put into this :o

I love this, I can only ask for maybe better edited sprites and perhaps updated Character Art when you feel your talent has improved/find someone to help out.

fucking amazing, im waiting for the full version

100 years ago, the people of this land united to fight against the darkness cast over the continent, and the four heroes that defeated the legendary Chaos Dragon established the four kingdoms. A century later, the kingdom of Adamantem has declared war against its neighbor, the kingdom of Ferram, forcing Prince Warren and his knights to flee the kingdom before it falls. What is the secret behind this sudden aggression? Can Prince Warren take back his kingdom and discover the truth? A long battle for the future of the continent is beginning...

Ember Sigil is a strategy role playing game created using SRPG Studio, a game creation tool designed for replicating the gameplay of the Fire Emblem series. Players will take command of Prince Warren and his army in a campaign of 20 maps, as well as possible unlockable maps. As the player fights on, they will recruit more than 30 characters into their army, and those characters will gain experience, level up, weild a variety of weapon types, and can even upgrade into more powerful classes. Every character possesses a unique skill, giving them their own personal edge. Weapons and items can be difficult to come by, so there are various ways of stealing the equipment your enemies are using to help you out. And if you're not satisfied with just that, a severely punishing lunatic difficulty is available. Take on an excruciating challenge in Ember Sigil!

The demo version consists of 5 chapters with 1 unlockable chapter and 10 playable characters. You can control the game with the keyboard, the mouse, or a gamepad.

As I have become more well-versed in SRPG Studio, and as publicly available plugins have become more robust, I will shortly be uploading a patch to version 1.1. The most notable improvements are visuals, wolf sprites in particular. See changelog for more.

I have published Ember Sigil 1.1 which sees the arrival of a new game mode and a new campaign titled "The Sigil of Justice". I will be updating game screenshots and uploading a new gameplay video showing the new features.

So this is a new silly thing I'm trying out. Something comes out when you pop the balloon, but who knows what? ;D

I've got a new game mode in the works. It is a puzzle mode where you must beat the enemy boss in one turn. You'll have to really know the game mechanics to solve the puzzles, and you might use tactics you otherwise wouldn't think of!

Been working on some new items. Here's a staff that creates Sand tiles, which are needed to use the Sand Storm spell. A similar staff and spell exist for Flower tiles. Sound like fun?

Ember Sigil 1.0.1 patch has been released. This patch fixes a handful of minor issues. Save files and the INI file from the previous version are still usable; just move the folder or INI file from the old version's folder into the new version's folder.

All dialogue is written which means now is the time I start ironing out any problems I missed throughout the game. You really have to scrutinize your work if you want to catch the little things, after all.

Support dialogue writing progress: 80%

Man I'm getting hyped over here.

Status update: As of now I've been focused on writing the rest of the support conversations. Still a ways to go on that front, but I don't imagine there's much more between that and the full release, so I'm excited to get the rest of it done.

The video I've just added to the game page gives a description of the game mechanics for those who have not seen something like them before. Check it out!
